Music and Love

I think it’s the perfect timing to hover about this type of pairing. Let’s face it, music and love go hand in hand, it’s an ideal combination. But before we dive deeper, let’s do this exercise. First, I want you to think of a song, and see if you recognize any love elements. At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me. Almost every song that we encounter revolves around the theme of love. It’s almost as if it’s unavoidable where your chances of running into this type of music are huge. And I’ve gotta point out how these days, it’s kinda rare to find concept albums that underline different subjects. Most of the time, it’s gonna be a record around rejection, willingness, and expressing one’s desire. And, this theme of music is mostly dominated within the pop industry. Country, rock, and the blues, yeah, I could see it, but if you turn on your radio, I’m pretty sure that you’re gonna run into a ‘poppy’ hit expressing love. And if we dig even deeper, we can recognize that these are instant hits. Look, you’re expressing yourself on how you wanna be with this person that carries an engaging backbeat. Or another type of song could be about going through a heartbreak rejection. Now to blend this all together, these pop songs are instant hits, PERIOD. Why is that? People often relate to music. People will position themselves as the protagonist of the song. And in a way, it makes total sense. See you need some sort of reassurance after facing whatever it was, either something good, or bad. Sort of like some sort of protection, or even shelter while listening to the music. I’ve already told you previously how I’ve gotten heart broken for the first time, and music acted as my shelter, something to comfort me during that rough time. Normally it would’ve been some sort of song around the theme of love, but I was listening to Band on the Run by Paul McCartney, and Wings. Why? I had no clue, I was in the mood. And it’s pretty funny to think about how the song has nothing to do with being rejected by your crush. But, I’ve gotta admit that it’s a kick ass song, and how it immediately came up in my mind. Some songs can be good, while others can be, let’s just say, a-little too much, even on the corny side when it comes to dealing with love, and music. But at the end of the day, anyone can easily relate to any song whenever love comes around.
