I’m in love with Alive Again by Lights (2025.) I’ve been listening to this song on repeat as of last Friday, and it’s just incredible. First of all it’s the vibe. That fast paced intro reminded me of the 80’s new wave era, where experimentation had no limits. The only downside was that their record A6 has not been released yet, but I’m pretty sure that there’s gonna be a-lot bangers on that record. Not to mention Damage is pretty worth checking out as a B-side to this single. But that’s not all, I need to admit that I’m personally affected by Alive Again. It takes me back to what I’ve experienced in the past where I was at a standstill in my life. And, It’s pretty much what I was experiencing at the moment. But then magic happened on Friday. Sort of like an awakening. Thanks to some friends, and family members, I finally found the road that I’m destined for at accomplishing my dream in becoming a musical journalist extraordinaire. What’s funny is how it has nothing to do with the meaning of the song, but the magic behind music is that it can grasp at any time a personal connection. Please do me a favour, and check out the single. You won’t regret it, trust me! You’ll see the melody, along with its backbeat, is pretty engaging, and so far it’s my favourite release of 2025. This needs to climb up the billboard charts, there’s no choice!
